Dal 26 al 28 giugno a Manduria (TA) nella splendida cornice della Masseria Potenti, si terra' ilQPSC (Quiet Please Summer Camp), il primo soundshop musicale che permettera' a 60 studenti e appassionati di musica di entrare in contatto diretto con i veri protagonisti della scena italiana e internazionale: produttori, arrangiatori, musicisti, creativi, media e discografici.
Gli esperti che parteciperanno al Camp saranno:

Ogni giorno interverranno 3 esperti per discutere con gli studenti di temi riguardanti la loro professionalita' e, alla fine di ogni giornata di lavoro, si terrà uno showcase di un artista italiano o straniero.

Il QPSC è organizzato da Ferdinando Arno', Bruno Pasini e Federico Sacchi ed è il primo esperimento di questo genere nel nostro Paese. Il numero massimo di iscritti al workshop è limitato a 60 persone. Non sono richiesti particolari requisiti per partecipare se non un interesse per il mondo della musica. Vista la presenza di ospiti internazionali è necessaria la conoscenza della lingua inglese. L’ingresso a concerti e showcase sarà allargato ad un pubblico piu' vasto.

 

The QPSC - Quiet Please Summer Camp - takes place from 26 to 28 June in Manduria (Taranto Province) in the beautiful setting of Masseria Potenti; this first musical soundshop will give 60 students and music lovers direct contact with major players on the Italian and international music scene: producers, arrangers and musicians; as well as creative, media and record company executives.
The experts on the Camp are:
Each day 3 experts will lead discussions with students, and at the end of each working day there will be a showcase of an Italian or foreign artist.
Colapesce, Kaki King AND BUD SPENCER BLUES EXPLOSION are already confirmed.
QPSC is organized by Ferdinand Arnò, Bruno Pasini and Federico Sacchi and is the first experience of this kind in Italy. There are just 60 places on the workshop. There are no special requirements, just an interest in the music world. Given the international scope of the project, knowledge of English is preferred. Admission to concerts and showcases will be available to a larger audience.

AL MOMENTO SI STA OCCUPANDO DI UN NUOVO PROGETTO CON I COMMON MAMA E DELL’ORGANIZZAZIONE DI QUESTO PRIMO “SUMMER CAMP” MUSICALE.

 

The creator of QPSC. Composer, producer and arranger, talent scout, author of radio hits and an impressive number of advertising jingles. He was trained abroad (Berklee College Of Music in Boston) and in the 90s he began a long and prolific career in advertising jingles until the establishment of quiet, please! Starting from music for advertising (he has written more than 1000 jingles for the world's most famous brands including Barilla, SKY, Volkswagen, Vodafone, Saab, Ferrero, Fiat, Telecom, Mercedes, BMW, Allianz, Acer, etc.), quiet, please! evolved into a genuine all-round musical laboratory for discovering talent (Malika Ayane for whom Arno' composed songs and produced the first two albums which enjoyed enormous success). He took part in movie soundtracks (“A Time For Dancing”, “Generazione Mille Euro”, “Letters To Juliet”, “La Prima Cosa Bella”) and television soundtracks (“One Tree Hill”) and has now created his own music label that works in many areas. The latest two challenges that Ferdinand Arno' has set himself are a new musical project with Common Mama, and this first musical summer camp.


BRUNO PASINI


Proviene dal mondo della discografia dove ha lavorato a lungo sul repertorio di musica  internazionale contribuendo al lancio nel nostro paese di Seal, Jamiroquai, Pearl Jam, Shakira, Gossip , John  Legend  e  collaborando per anni con Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Simply Red, Oasis,  Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, AC/DC , Mark Ronson, Annie Lennox. Ha esperienze nel campo del live ( i primi 3 concerti di Vasco Rossi a San Siro, Heineken Jammin Festival , il musical Chicago)  e della televisione ( collabora con X Factor) e tiene lezioni universitarie nell’ambito di diversi corsi di comunicazione, creatività ed economia. 


His background is in the record business; he worked extensively on international artists contributing to the Italian launches of Seal, Jamiroquai, Pearl Jam, Shakira, Gossip and John Legend, also collaborating for years with Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Simply Red, Oasis, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, AC/DC, Mark Ronson and Annie Lennox. He has experience in the field of live shows (the first 3 Vasco Rossi concerts at San Siro, Heineken Jammin' Festival, the musical “Chicago”) and television (“The X Factor”). He also lectures on different university courses on communication, creativity and the economy.


FEDERICO SACCHI


Editore e talent scout, è stato A&R di Edizioni Curci ed ora ricopre il ruolo di General Manager e A&R in quiet, please! Nel corso degli anni ha scoperto numerose promesse del panorama musicale italiano, soprattutto nell’indie (Emis Killa, Vacca, Colapesce, Il Disordine delle Cose, Serpenti, The Electric Diorama, Max Zanotti, Minor Majority), oltre ad aver lavorato con alcuni degli autori più conosciuti (Maurizio Fabrizio, Niccolò Agliardi, Mino Vergnaghi, Dario Baldan Bembo tra gli altri). Ha partecipato in veste di insegnante a seminari e campus sull’editoria musicale e sulla discografia.

 

Music publisher and talent scout, he was A&R for Edizioni Curci and is now General Manager and A&R for quiet, please! Over the years he has discovered numerous new talents in Italian music, especially indie artists (Emis Killa, Vacca, Colapesce, Il Disordine delle Cose, Serpenti, The Electric Diorama, Max Zanotti, Minor Majority), in addition to having worked with some of the most popular writers (Maurizio Fabrizio, Niccolò Agliardi, Mino Vergnaghi, and Dario Baldan Bembo among others). He has been involved in campus workshops on music publishing and discography.


COSIMO SARACINO


Cosimo Saracino, producer e tecnico del suono. Fonda, insieme a Orazio Guarino e Marco Santoro, la casa di produzione cinematografica e audiovisiva "Naffintusi", curando le musiche di numerosi cortometraggi e di un lungometraggio. Diplomato a Londra, presso "The Recording Workshop", collabora con lo studio di produzione discografica quiet, please! di Milano, perfezionando le sue competenze relative alla produzione musicale tra cui jingle pubblicitari.
E' impegnato nell'organizzazione di eventi e nella regia audio dei concerti presso l'Associazione culturale "Ortosonico" di Pavia (di cui e' resident dj). Recentemente ha prodotto musiche per teatro per la "Attoprimo Compagnia Teatrale", in scena a Roma e diretto da Mariagrazia Pompei. Dai suoi lavori traspare un orientamento continuo alla ricerca di nuove tendenze musicali e sonore, anche attraverso il connubio tra immagini e musica.

 

> Cosimo Saracino, is a producer and a sound engineer. Co-founder with Orazio Guarino and Marco Santoro of the audiovisual and movie production company "Naffintusi", he created the music of several shorts and feature films. Cosimo graduated in London at "The Recording Workshop"and improved his skills in music at the music label quiet, please! in Milan, expecially in music for advertising.
He is a promoter of live events and a sound engineer during the meetings organized by the cultural association "Ortosonico" in Pavia. Recently he has produced the music of the "Attoprimo Compagnia Teatrale", directed by Mariagrazia Pompei in Rome. His work reflects a continuos orientation to the search of new trends in music and sound, through the combination of images and music.
